Monisha Rani Sikdar
Monisha grew up in Betagi thana under Borguna district in Bangladesh. The income of Manisha's father was so little to meet the family's minimum needs. Because the family's livelihood reached an extremely challenging situation due to little income and a huge debt from NGOs, Manisha was about to drop her dream of education. Having the foundation's financial support, she successfully completed her B.Sc Nursing from Kumudini Nursing College, Tangail. After finishing 6 months internship there, she is currently working as a staff nurse in Squire Hospital, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Sumita Rani Roy
Sumita is a rural girl from Kotoali thana, Dinajpur. She so courageously stated “My mother worked as a maid in other people's homes". She had to move from place to place with her mother and later they moved to Rajshahi living with her uncle. After finishing a Diploma in Nursing from Kumudini Nursing College, Tangail she worked for three months in ICDDRB, Dhaka. Sumita now got a govt job and currently waiting for her posting.

Supria Rani
Supria is from the district of Borguna, Bangladesh. Supria did break down while explaining her parents' situation in dealing with the curse of poverty. At the time of her grade 10 study, she started to work with a local NGO in order to earn some money and offered some help to the survival of her family. She completed a 3 years Diploma in Nursing from Green Life Nursing School in Dhaka. After graduation she has worked in Green Life, United Hospital and currently as a Senior Staff Nurse, Bangladesh Medical College, Dhaka.

Akhi is a village girl from Betagi thana under Borguna district in Bangladesh. Akhi lost her mother in her childhood. She stated in her words ”My father’s financial condition was so poor, I never had a dream to go to school or have a job in future”. Akhi completed an 18 month long Junior Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery course from Holy Family Red Crescent Nursing Institute, Dhaka. She is currently working in the City General Hospital, Barisal, Bangladesh.
